Imagination story

In the morning my mum said to me to go and help my dad
and help to dig a hole. I dug and suddenly I was falling down the big hole.

I opened my eyes and I saw the yummiest thing I had ever seen and there was candy everywhere.  I saw that I was in candy land and I was so happy.

Suddenly I saw someone coming closer and closer. When he was close I saw he was all green. The eyes were blue and he was an alien and he was scary.

He put out his hand and I saw something and it was a present, it was a box. There was a glass ball with a feather floating inside it. He told me to go and keep this safe from the world. I went and put it under my bed so candy land would be saved.

Glitter Art

This is a kowhaiwhai pattern that room three made last week. The person who inspired us was Reuben Paterson he is the best artist.
My favorite thing is the glitter because I liked how I put the glitter on my Art and I like glitter. The bit that I found hard was the painting because I painted all over the place.

Orienteering Week 1

On Wednesday we had Orienteering with Mr  McGiven and Miss Irene, they came and talked to us about Orienteering.

We talked about maps. We run around the classroom and we  have to stick clues around the the room. Miss Irene gave us a paper and told us to go and find the numbers and write them on the paper.

When we finished writing the numbers Mr Given talked about reading the map because we had to learn how to. He talk about Orienteering around the world and Orienteering is the best because it is fun and cool.  We got to have fun going around the room. I had a really fun day.

Howick Historical Village: School

My favorite thing from our trip to Howick Historical Village was at the School. Room three went to the school to learn about the past.

First we talked about the Queen Victoria, she was 18 in 1850. We had to learn spelling, it went like this: the teacher told us a word and one of the boys or the girls put their hand up and answered it, this was called a Spelling Bee.

After that we had to do some Handwriting, it was fun because we used pens and they were sharp. We wrote on a paper and I thought it was hard for the people because when they wrote and it was not good they would get the strap.
