My Reflection On This Year

My highlights this year has been amazing because I had alot of fun working and playing with my friends, especially doing something for the school.  I enjoy going on trips especially with the whole school, in class I enjoy doing maths because maths is my favourite subject to do in the times that I'm doing nothing.

When I leave I hope for the school to have a better future and a better environment. I hope that there will be great leaders to lead the school in Faith, Hope, and Love, and to make the right choices. I will try to courage the leaders to inspire younger kids to grow up and have a good life.

Kiwi Sport

Today for touch.  Our couch ran us on some few fun drills, the drills are to help us practise our movements and catching the ball for the girls.  Since the Room 7 girls have some weak skills, we got split into a girl and a boy group and practised.  After all the practise we did another drill, I think that drill is about getting us use to our foot work and helping us to be aware for the people around us when we're  running.

Kiwi Sport / Touch

Learn:  To share what I have learned this morning

This morning the whole school had kiwi sport, our kiwi sport this morning was touch,  Room 7 had an amazing morning playing touch with our instructor, I can tell that she was an expert.  We played some amazing drills to help us warm up before we get into the real thing.  I felt tired during our warm up game, our instructor tells us something like an object in order and what we have to do is go and touch it in order.

We had three rounds playing our warm up game.  Then we get into our game,  the grid game its when we have to get into 2 teams we put our bibs on and everyone gets into the grid, any team can go first but after making a try they have to pass it to the other team.  We had a few fun rounds playing the grid game until our time was over, we took off our bibs and made our way back to class.

PAT Maths Test

This morning was our PAT test.  I was very stressed and worried because some of the questions in my test were complicated and hard but I managed to finish my test on time and hopefully I did my best.  When ever I struggled with a question I tried to work it out by memorizing the strategies we went through with my teacher,  even though I struggled, I chose the answer I thought was best .  During my test I was a bit lazy because I took my time, sitting around looking at the walls or out the window.

Holiday Recount

Learn: To Share An Experience
My holiday writing.

During the holidays my family had a really fun trip ahead of us. We were heading to a waterfall nearby. It was our favourite place to go to, especially when it was family time. I admired going to the waterfall with my family because we spent more time together. We were very lucky because when we got there no one else was there, but us. I counted it as a blessing because we got the waterfall all to ourselves.

Usually when people are there we never get enough peace or space to our family. We went and set up at our favourite spot. We like to sit under the tree because it has a lot of shades. Before we all got wet we climbed to the very top where the waterfall starts and then jumped down. When I jumped down I was very terrified. My cousin could tell that I was really scared by the look on my face. Although I did admit to them that I was scared of heights. Even though I was scared, but I kept telling myself that I can do it. When I finally jumped down a whole water of relief flowed around me. I was so thankful that I didn’t hurt myself.

For a few minutes I found myself floating in the water with my cousins. Then the next minute we were sitting on the rock with our legs splashing in the water. Then my sister came up with a game we should play. She suggested diving competition. I knew it was a bit dangerous to play but I also knew that we were going to have lots of fun. Luckily we brought a volleyball along with us. So instead of having a competition we decided to play volley. Playing volley was such a good idea because laughter was everywhere around us. What I found the funniest was my cousins laugh. She honestly sounded like a minion.

After being in the water we got out and had lunch, delicious otai with ham sandwich that my mum made for us.  Unfortunately we couldn’t stay longer because it was getting dark.  We had to go back home. So after lunch we packed up and made our way home.  When we got home we cleaned up and had a very long sleep.

I see God in this rain drop because every time it rains I always think that God is crying and that his tears are the rains. It's falling on us so we can feel how he feels so we know that we are not the only one who's hurt.

My Response to Sean

An amazing 10 year old boy from Massachusetts, became a fan of sharks after watching shark week on discovery channel when he was the age of 3.  Since then he continued to learn about sharks as he strongly wanted to protect their safety.

He wrote a proposal to the government twice to make  shark finning illegal.  He continued to protest against the shark-finning.   Sean is a confident young man who is a good role model for young people.  He is very knowledgeable in the topic.

Sean is determined to become a marine biologist, and continue work with the protection of sharks.

The Warriors Visit

Today we had an awesome morning because we had visitors from the Warriors.  Ken Maumalo, David, and a very beautiful women who came and talked to us about what they eat and drink.

The best part was when we all played a game that the visitors introduced to us.  It was a Food version of heads up, but it was heaps of fun.  Who ever goes up, comes back down with a prize for example a warrior ball or a water bottle.

I think it was an amazing morning for all of us and I hope that the rest of the school enjoyed it.

As always holidays are supposed to be fun. To me the holidays have always been boring, I wanted to come back to school. I constantly thought about school, and my friends. When suddenly my mum burst through my door room all dressed up, make up on, hair down, not heels but flat shoes.

I was surprised because it's been a while she looked like that , Then I remembered she was having a girl’s nights out.  The only reason why she burst into my room was to warn me and my sister, not to do anything dumb while she's out,  and to keep the house clean.

When she left my eyes were so big which means we have the whole house to ourselves, just me and my sister. We did so many things together.
Playing karate in the living room.
Made easy brownies- when I mean easy it's really easy.
Put makeup on each other and took selfies.
Ate chocolate bars.

All those things we did that night were memories, I really enjoyed it even my sister. We did so many things together just in that night.  The good thing about that night was we worked together to clean the house, change the sheets in the room because there were stains on it from the make up, Packed away the dishes and tidied up the living room.

At 10: 23 we were dead asleep, tired from all the cleaning. We don’t know when our mum came back, I don’t know about my sister but I know I heard our kitchen door open.

Lectio Divina

Today in R.E I have learnt what is Lectio Divina.
What is Lectio Divina?.
Lectio Divina is a type of a traditional prayer. Lectio Divina is a prayerful prayer.

FORGIVE:
Forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.

Dear God,
Give me the confidence and passion to forgive others as you forgave me.

My Mother writing

6,5,15-Describing My Mother in many ways.
My mother is my brightest light every morning I wake up, which makes my day start. My mother is like my maker because she always makes stuff for me or my sisters. Everything she makes whether its food or clothing or anything it's always great or beautiful and we always look amazing in it. My mother has never been a failure in being a mother because everything she does makes me happy or my siblings.  I can describe my mum in many words its really easy because she’s really special to me.

Screenshot 2015-05-07 at 11.59.31 AM.png
My mums name is Sitela Puletau she likes to be known as Tela because that's what her friends call her, but to me and my siblings we call her mother or mum.

She is a pure Tongan lady that loves to cook, sleep, laugh, sing, and talk a lot.

My mum has short brown hair, she is kind of short because I am nearly taller then her.  I love her bright brown eyes it's like the colour of the inside of a sunflower  Image result for sun flower.   She is very good at making Tongan grape necklaces.   She is the best at sewing she sews anything just for us.

Sometimes she can be very angry but I understand because she’s just trying to help me in a good very and to get my mind in what’s happening.

Last week Year 8 funraising.

Year 8’s sausage sizzle fundraising.
Last week on Friday room 7 had a sausage sizzle fundraiser. We fundraised for the year 8’s retreat day, the retreat will take place at Friary 2015 week 5 term 2 day 1. In the fundraiser we sold sausages which were $2 and we also selled ice blocks that was $1. It wasn’t fair because all the year 8’s didn’t take part in fun raise it was just, Justin, Rachel, Jane, Sonya, Taiwan and Misiotei and they got help from an adult “Sunny” Sonya’s dad.

Thanks to Miss Mafu she went around the classes with a little clip bag collecting money from the kids who want to buy anything. From the ice blocks we got $66 and from the sausages we got about $160 and altogether the amount was $226. Yay. We had a successful fundraising event.

Soul friend mass.

Today we had soul friend mass and this lovely girl is is my soul friend she is amazing and funny I. She has a soul friend but she is not here so I stole her for the day she is still my soul friend. Mass was lovely and I ask my soul friend what was her favourite part of mass and she said "she loves the readers because they were loud and funny.

Holy Spirit.

beginning of this week we will be learning about the holy spirit stuff that relates to the holy spirit and how the holy spirit works.

My Goal for this year or term or week is to learn more about the holy spirit and get to know it better.

Writing about Friday to the people who was away

26/4/15-Letter to Aurora, Hola, Joshua & Valensia.
Hello Girls and Boy. Today we had a whole school ANZAC mass, No one in our school took part in the mass, It was pretty much,, Father & Mrs Tui. We sang two songs in mass and the last song was my favourite because I knew it very well. The best part In mass was when we got to sit with our soul friends. Aurora I was with your soul friend because mine one wasn't here and you weren't here sorry! :)

After mass we walked outside holding our soul friends hand and went to the grotto, we line behind the fence and stood quietly and waited until it starts.
Many Parents came, took photo’s and also watched while the kids started reading their letters and putting things into the cross, like after when they finish reading what ever their holding they go and put it down next to the cross or put it on like the flag. After all the readings we played “The last post” it’s a song well it wasn't  kind of a song because there was no singing only a instrument playing. Then we sang the national anthem all together then all march back to their classroom.

On lunch time it was the best but you guys missed out, we had sausage sizzle and with that we had ice blocks it was delicious and the second best thing was we got to have free sausages, I think I had three sausage sizzle and two ice blocks. I felt sad because you guys weren’t here to eat sausage sizzle with me and enjoying our ice blocks under the sun.

Hope you guys will come back to school and don’t feel sad for missing out because it will come around sooner or maybe never.

First Tee, Golf.

1/3/15.
Image result for firsttee
This whole term we have been learning about golf with our training teacher Mr Thomas. He is a really good man, he respect us alot and what he wants us to do is to respect him back.

In golf I have learnt a lot of things from Mr Thomas like how to set up before hitting the ball, It goes like this. Left hand, right hand, feet together, left foot, right foot, pingu pot,pop then smash!!!. he says if we do those steps perfectly we would hit the ball really far and high.

In this term every time we have golf he always tells us a word it’’s respect, integrity, honesty, Trust, courtesy, Obey, and obey also stands for something else, other before yourself.

Our training has been amazing but its the respect that is not happening. because if we don’t respect then we wouldn’t be able to play golf. To me I have learnt something from Mr Thomas, don’t hit the ball really hard if the goal is right there just do a little hit. Because in our training the goal is just right in front of us.  Some people just ignore it they just go up and smash the ball and not even thinking.

But sadly this is our last day and Mr thomas did not come but thank you Mr Thomas for taking your time and coming to our school and training with us. If it wasn’t for you we wouldn’t know how to set up before hitting the ball.. Or we wouldn’t even know how to play golf.

thank you!!!.

What I feel and think about this background.

What I feel and think about this picture.
Screenshot 2015-03-30 at 2.00.15 PM.png

What I feel about this picture is an amazing feeling because of the kids from different school comes together and its just cool and colourful because of the uniforms. I really like the background because its so red and they look like little ants wearing red. I enjoy looking at the people in the front because its colourful and its amazing how they stand, they stand in a perfect line and making people proud and making their school look smart.

I like the picture because it was sunny and the clouds were beautiful and blue, and the kids were like editing it like if it was just the clouds and the grass it would look boring, but then the schools edit it which is perfect.

I would like to say thank you for the people that took part of what was happening and I would like to say thank you to the people that was taking the photo’s the photo’s look flash gays.

Leadership quotes

At Pt England.

25/3/15 - At Pt England.

This Morning room 7,6,5 walked all the way from school to Pt england we were so surprised at first when Mrs Tui said we were going to walk, it was a surprised moment because its a long walk till we get to Pt england. the worse thing about walking is its sunny and hot as always but this is a long walk. We all walked down and already people were speeding in front of me like a racing car or pushing in front of me like I was invisible to people. I was so angry I rather walk in the grass and let the speeders speed.  We got to the Pt England field and already people were complaining that they are tired, and complaining that its hot and some were happy that we made it.

The field was beautiful because it was so wide and it was so clean like a bowl that has been licked many times. What I like about the field is the grass, and the colour of the grass is so fresh and it's also soft like a soft comfortable bean bag. When we got to where we were sitting we got into lines and lined up sitting down from room 1 to 7, but some kids just sat with room 5 and I was one of them. I was pretty happy sitting with room 5 because I can see what's happening easily, when we were all sat people started to talk and for a few minutes this lady was telling us to please be quiet. When We were all silent we waited for the people from the boat to come, when they were half way to us we stood up and sang the e oho song. Everyone was so loud and I loved the part how they did the haka because they did it with passion and proudness which made the people happy even us we were happy too.

We had to sing the song six times, on the last time we sang it, all the people were already lining up in front of us on the sand. After singing the song we all got told to sit down and while all the schools were sitting down there were old people talking in maori which I did not understand. After all those maori talking we got up and sang another song call he hornorie, I thought that we would be the one that will be louder because we knew that song very well, but instead we were very quiet. After singing that song we all sat back down and the people that came from the boat I think they were greeting themself  in maori but singing it I think. when they were all finish talking and greeting in maori there was lots of talking happening in front of us.

After everything that has happen the kids that was infront from different school lined up and people coming up from the boat, and the people from different school went and put necklaces on the people. Pt England the first school that was sitting next to the steps got up and lined up by the steps and walked down to the people high fiving them. After two school went up and high five the people, it was our turn we got up and lined up in one line and went down and high fived all the people that came one by one. when we high fived all of them we got up the stairs and waited at the field for everyone to come then room 7,6,5 again walked and the other class made their way to the bus while we walk. I was complaining all the way until we were half way in the field. but thanks to Mr Gaffney he ran all the way to us and told us that they have under bus available for us to go on, we were all happy that we were going on the bus because we were gonna walk all the way back to school.

We got on the bus and went all the way back to school and continued with our work because we got there it was past morning tea but the teachers told us that we were allowed to have morning tea. When morning tea was finish we only had 10 minutes until lunch which was cool.

All about Sonya

16.3.15- About Sonya.

Screenshot 2015-03-16 at 12.19.31 PM.png
Hello for my expressive writing today will be about Sonya I chose to write about her because she inspires me alot about being a leader or a good role model to others. She is really amazing because she inspires me to be in something she made me be a peace officer, a fruit monitor, and a library like packing the books away.

Sonya is not only my inspiration because she inspires other people around her and in her class and at home. At her home she has a lovely family and she says she loves them all. She has 4 sisters two of her sister comes to our school Angel and Alicea they are amazing two.

Sonya is a very shy girl but she is a bright girl that doesn't care about people saying stuff about her.

Sonya is a awesome girl that loves to read all the time no wonder she a bright and good girl, she loves to go out swim play chess and spending time with her family and learning alot. She has been in St Pius for 8 years now then her sister joined her.

She is a amazing girl I bet when you meet her you will like hanging out with her, working with her, and showing you what is good about being a good role model.

Sonya can sometimes be silly but she is the best, sometimes she can get told off but she is always on her best behavior to others. Sonya is like a girl that tells the truth all the time and she is like a spy for Mrs Tui like pretends to be there friend and finds what they are doing which is doing which is good because what ever people are on they shouldn't be on it. Sonya those make a good spy.

Holiday Recount Writing

Holiday Recount.

Firstly, in my holiday,
my family and I went to lots of fun places, example like the Wharf, Mission bay beach, New Lynn, North shore and visiting my dad and mum’s families too. On boxing day, we went to New Lynn to spend time with my aunties and cousins there. We also spend time at the waterfalls in new lynn and stayed there for three or four hours because there was lots of us and we just wanted to stay there and have fun.

Secondly, on christmas day we went to Mission Bay Beach with my families because it was a family spending day, it was really fun swimming with my sister and my fun cousins. We also had yummy food add that with fizzy drinks and juice. Yummy! It was really fun there and the best thing was that our parents were sleeping and we had more time swimming.

Thirdly, on new years we went to the wharf because nearly all the beaches around we went to. So we wanted to try something different, Like going to the wharf it was really fun and amazing at the wharf because we got to jump off the bridge  lots of times. The bridge was tall but the water was deep, example if you jump of it you wouldn't touch the ground.

Lastly, We went and visited our families which was awesome because I don’t really know all my family that well but lucky me I got to meet them. We visit about 5 of our families that we had wanted to meet, we also visited two of our families that just came from tonga, the best thing about going and visiting them was that we got to eat fingo’ta. It was so delicious that we ate nearly all of them.

Conclusion:
My holiday was amazing, Fantastic, awesome, cool, happy, lots of laughing and happiness which made my holiday the best holiday ever, and I wish my holiday would be longer because our spending time together has not stop but it turns out it stops and now is working time because holiday is over. I can’t wait until next holiday, lets just wait and see if it will be the same.

THE END
